Children's tale I

Alice in Wonderland

Colourful gnomes pop up in the glow,
behind dancing daisies, displaying in a row
cheerfully around her, as a merry-go-round.

While soft spinning clouds blink from above
at her, little soul, pretending to know
all the answers to problems there might be to solve.

Then, lost in wonder, she gazes up in great awe,
to see her soul soar and then plummet to shore,
with loosened strings, she delightfully ignores

Any ties, any fears, any hopes or decay,
eyes wide open, in stillness - a smile on her face,
she suddenly sees all the wonders to embrace.

Was it a dream, a film, or a scene?,
nobody will ever know what it meant
nor how real her weird trip could ever have been,

'cause on her way home, to mom and her fare,
helped by the cat, the hatter and the hare,
she found Wonderland had always been there.
